Join on us on Saturday, October 19th at our Galactic Headquarters in Brunswick for our open house!

1 pm - 3pm: The public.
5pm-ish: Gather at the Flight Deck Brewing brew pub. All are welcome!
activities and refreshments
Drinks, ice, and snacks will be served. A large awning will provide some shade if needed and there will be ample seating on the deck benches and folding chairs.
Inside there will be
Displays of member's astrophotography, astronomy videos playing in the conference room for interested parties.
Club member Jon Wallace may also bring some of his micrometeorites for show-and-tell.
Demonstrations of how to use the free online Skymaps.com website.
Outside:
Astronomy can be done during daylight hours and even if it is cloudy! Here's how:
We will have our specialized solar telescope set up (weather permitting) that gives terrific views of our nearest star.
Also set up will be a radio astronomy rig which works just fine even when it's cloudy!
Club surplus equipment sale. Club members will be extended a 20% discount and can arrive at 11am before the public opening at 1pm.
After 1pm, unsold club owned items will be offered to anyone in a silent auction format subject to a reserve price. Items will also have a 'buy it now' option.
Member astro items for sale/swap will be available.
The club has only a few folding tables, so it would be a big help if you can bring one!
